ABOUT

UK Cult TV Airdates (snappy name, right?) was founded June 2013 after missing the start of a new series just one day after a previously missed series started repeating. With 'On Demand' and 'Series Link' type set-ups used all over the UK it seems daft that not enough is made of the repeat of a popular series, and so this site was born.

By 'cult tv' we mean both American and UK shows, (actually, French, Danish, all sorts really) that get people talking. Not exclusively sci-fi - though it is the majority - it means all those programs people talk about the next day that have characters and plot to them. We're leaving reality TV out at the moment (despite our long-running America's Next Top Model addiction) and things like soaps and documentaries, but most other genres are included - drama, crime, comedy, and so on.

At the moment the site is very plain bland minimalistic and this may change at a later date but for now as little distraction from the basics as possible is required while the foundations are put into place. The site currently consists of:

• A Calendar (followable on google calendars) of the start dates of as many programs as possible
• A main blog page with postings of the same details - which isn't quite perfected yet, but at very least is trackable by the 'labels' listing of all the different programs.
• A twitter feed which tweets daily the shows that start that day as a reminder to set your set-top box - and relevant retweets.

These are all accessible separately or all together on the site and more things are planned for the future - but without complicating matters from the basic premise of the site - we won't get bogged down in other stuff!

SHOWS - OMISSIONS (Sorry!)
We don't watch every show out there. If there's a show you know of that we're not listing even though you know it is starting soon, it may be that we don't know the date it starts,, or it may be that we don't know the show itself. In either case, getting in touch HERE is easy - just tell us what we're missing. There;s a lot of good TV out there and we don't expect to know about all of it ourselves!

On a similar note, we get our info from assorted sources and try to find it somewhere reputable - and generally cross check it before it gets posted on the blog or on twitter. Tentative dates DO go into the calendar, but we tag them '(tbc)' if something, well, is still to be confirmed. So if a date changes or a schedule changes, we'll try highlighting that, too. Of course, if something is completely wrong, then we are very sorry, and we will do our best to not do that again (we'll check everything *three* times before we post it, instead!).

Lastly, we're only human, and have busy lives with kids and dogs and allotments and knitting and celeb-stalking (maybe I prefer the term autograph hunting - see our other site HERE for photos of the collection) so please be patient with us if we're slow to update, and tell us nicely if we get something wrong or make a typing werror. Heh. Now *that* was such comedy timing I'm leaving it in.
