Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is an upcoming American sci-fi series created by Joss Whedon (Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Avengers Assemble etc) based on Marvel Comics SHIELD organisation and based around the character of Agent Phil Coulson (played by Clark Gregg, reprising his film role).
The pilot, filmed in early 2013, was 'ordered to series' in May 2013. We don't yet know when it will air (it's a work in progress!) but it will be - people are very excited for this show. (Including us, by the way).
